Course Information
This course provides an engaging introduction to STEAM—Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics—through hands-on activities, creative problem-solving, and real-world applications. Each unit is designed to help students think critically, build practical solutions, and develop an innovative mindset.
The course begins with the fundamentals of electronics, where students explore breadboards, circuit connections, and code-controlled components such as LEDs and RGB lights. Through projects like traffic light simulation, smart doorbells, and automatic staircase lighting, learners understand how electronic systems function in everyday life.
Students are then introduced to Design Thinking and Microcontrollers, learning how ideas are transformed into real-world solutions. Activities such as soil moisture monitoring and moisture level indicators connect technology with practical applications like smart agriculture and resource management.
Creativity and computational thinking are enhanced through Scratch 3.0 programming, where learners design animations, games, and interactive challenges. The course also introduces Robotics through simple, relatable projects that demonstrate sensing, timing, and control systems.
Learners explore the fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence, gaining early exposure to concepts such as posture monitoring, text-to-speech, and translation systems, helping them understand how intelligent technologies analyze and respond to data.
Hands-on creativity continues with Paper Automata, where students learn about motion and mechanical systems through CAM-based paper models. The course concludes with 3D Design, enabling learners to create models like drones and space shuttles while developing spatial visualization skills.
Overall, this course emphasizes experiential learning, critical thinking, creativity, and innovation. It equips students with the confidence and skills to explore, experiment, and create, preparing them for future opportunities in technology and beyond.
